Rachet and Clank : Before The Nexus is one of the most successful games Sony has developed for PS3 and now Sony has brought this game to your Android smart phones and tablets.  

The game play of Rachet and Clank : BTN is a little bit similar to Temple Run but that is where the similarity ends.  This unique running game brings the excitement of infinite running to the classic Ratchet and Clank games franchise.  You have to fight off Vendra and Neftin Prog as well as their assortment of evil minions.  In the meantime you have hop between the grindrails to avoid hazards and collect bolts that can be used to upgrade Rachets armour and weapons.  You can collect Raritanium, which can be synced with your PSN account and used PS3 version

NamoMania spreading to online e-commerce, The NaMo Store, an online store selling franchised NaMo merchandise launched

Even as India is gearing to face probably the biggest election jamboree of the world in June 2014, the online stakes are rising up and up.  Narendra Modi or NaMo as he is popularly known, has already stolen the march over Rahul Gandhi or RaGa in the webosphere.   There are at lease a thousand of Twitter/Facebook/Google Plus groups working over time for NaMo in addition to the official BJP and the NaMo sites.  If you remember, NaMo already has a line of smart phones and a couple of Android games named after him. 

The latest to join the NaMo bandwagon and to maximise profits from the NaMo frenzy in the online world, a company called Take India Beyond Merchandised has launched a e-commerce store named after the BJP's PM candidate himself.  The company is a work of group of volunteers and by the looks of it, neither BJP nor NaMo himslef is linked to it.  Called 'The NaMo Store' or more specifically

it will sell NaMo, BJP and related T-shirts, coffee mugs, stationery and other items.  In addition it will also be giving away NaMo ideology called the NaMo Mantra to who ever signs up on its sites.

The NaMo Store will sell branded NaMo products like T-shirts to USB drives, paperweights and desk organisers. The products are priced in the range of Rs 15 to Rs 450 and mostly feature Modi’s mantra of change and “India first”. 

India and Indian internet has pretty much been taken over by Modi-mania.  The Android game Modi Run based on the Temple Run has been a runaway hit and the other one Super NaMo is also doing good. It seems like NaMo has pretty much sewn up the online Indians but can the same be said of majority offline ones. This will only be answered in June 2014.

Microsoft releases 'Guardian' for Windows Phone 8, a service similar to Track my iPhone and Android Device Manager for India

Microsoft today released a nifty App for its Windows Phone 8 devices.  Called the Guardian, this is a one button security App and has specifically been released for India.  Guardians features are quite similar to the iOS Track my iPhone and Android Android Device Manager where you can remotely track your Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 720 and other Windows Phone 8 run devices. Guardian like the above apps, lets you control your Windows Phone Devices remotely and in addition has a special SOS button to take your care in a dire emergent situation which makes it a whole new ballpark App.

The Guardian uses Microsoft Windows Azure cloud solution and the Bing Maps API to let anyone you wish track your movements for which you have to enable the 'Track Me' feature.  This way, you can enable the Track Me feature in the smart phone of  your loved ones, childrens or elderly and get to know the precise location they are at.  Additionally you can also place a call with a build in one touch SOS button.  You can use this to connect a host of emergency services like the Police, Hospitals, Ambulance and other help.  

The Guardian App has been developed by the Microsoft India Employees in the Microsoft Garage.  The Microsoft Garage is an initiative within the company on a global level and allows employees to explore ideas and do ideations out of the box.  

You can add multiple contacts to the SOS list.  The SOS button will contact them in case of emergency situations.  The fine thing about the App is that the contact can opt out of the SOS service if he/she desires.  Another additional feature is that the SOS messages will be beamed continuously even if something untoward happens to your or your phone is destroyed.  The SOS button will also send emails and post on your private Facebook Groups so that your SOS gets maximum priority.  

And in case you are in some sort of crime scene or being attacked, the Guardian turns on the one touch video recording button which records everything in the camera range and can be used as evidence later either by you or by the authorities.

MultiROM - How to Install Multiple ROMS on Nexus 5! - Dual Boot

MultiROM Manager app for the Nexus 5 allows you to easily install multiple custom ROMS on your device. The only requirement is that your Nexus 5 needs to be rooted and the application will take care of the other work to get it all up and running. 

Once the installation is complete you can go into TWRP > Advanced > MultiROM to go ahead and add, remove, rename, and mess with other options for the ROMS. 

Having the ability to install multiple custom ROMS on your Nexus 5 has a lot of benefits, but also some drawbacks. With multiple ROMS you can completely separate your phone from work and home including your Twitter account, call logs, text message, etc. 

You can also try out new ROMS without having to do a Nandroid Backup of the current ROM you running on, which is particulary useful for me since I usually flash a new ROM once a week! 

Since this is a new Nexus 5, that means your limited to the amount of space you have on your phone, luckily we have the ability to install custom ROMS on a flash drive via an OTG cable to run those ROMS when you want to.

Easy step guide to install the new CyanogenMod CM 11 Nightlies on your Nexus 7 2013 Wi Fi tablet

No techie in their right mind likes the default Android interface provided by Google.  The Nexus 7 2013 is a fabulous piece of engineering but to master its full potential, you need to root the tablet.  CyanogenMod CM 11 Nightly for Android 4.4.2 KITKAT has been released and is pretty stable version.  So if you are really into rooting your Nexus 7 2013 and installing the best CM there is on it, read on.

First and foremost you have to root your Nexus 7 2013 and it is a very easy process.  To root it you should download this two files

1. TWRP Image if you want earlier TWRP images visit this site

2. SuperSU (This is the latest one kindly visit this page to read more)  

Now that you have downloaded the above two files, you should back up your Nexus 7 2013 before you embark on any adventure. Back up your contacts using your Gmail account, back up your SMS, images, songs, settings etc.  Also ensure that your Nexus 7 2013 is fully charged up before you begin this process.

Next head over to the Settings Menu in your Tablet to enable USB debugging. 

“Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”

Once you have enabled the USB debugging proceed as under. 

Copy the TWRP image into the fastboot folder, and the SuperSU into the device’s internal memory, then turn off your device.

Boot your Nexus 7 into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power keys together until some text appears on screen.

Connect your device to your PC and open a command prompt in the fastboot folder (hold Shift and Right-click on desktop and then choose Open Command Prompt).

Type : fastboot flash openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-flo.img (or change the image name to whatever image you may use)

Once the command is executed, choose RECOVERY from Fastboot menu and enter Recovery Mode.

From there choose Flash Zip from SD card, and choose the SuperSU zip file that you had copied into the memory earlier.

Once the process is done, select go back, and then “reboot system now”.

Once the device reboots, congratulations, you have rooted your Nexus 7 2013. In case you get stuck in the process just long press the power button and follow the process again.

Now that you have rooted your Nexus 7 2013, you can install the CyanogenMod CM 11 Nightly very easily.  To do so you have to download this two files :

1. Nightly Custom ROM (This is the latest one, you can download the older one if you wish from this page but the latest the merrier)

2. Android 4.4 GAPPS package

Once you have downloaded the above two files, lets proceed with putting the CM11 Android 4.4.2 Nightly on your Nexus 7 2013.

Connect the tablet to your computer. Move both zip files to the tablets internal storage. After the files are copied, disconnect your tablet from your computer. Don’t unzip any of the files.

Power off the tablet.

Boot your 2013 Nexus 7 into recovery mode. Make sure that you are using the most recent version of your preferred custom recovery so that it will be able to flash Android 4.4 ROMs.

To be safe, create a NANDROID backup. Just tap on Backup and swipe to confirm the process. (Those using ClockWorkMod recovery can tap ‘backup and restore’, name your file, and save it)

Factory reset your tablet. For TWRP: press Wipe, then swipe to confirm. For CWM: select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’, confirm.

Install the CM11 Nightly ROM. If you have used the TWRP as I have said above, you need to press Install, browse and go to the CM Nightly Zip File you have saved in the internal storage and then swipe to confirm installation.  Those using CWM to root their tablets : tap ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’ and navigate to the CM 11 Nightly zip file. Confirm to install.

Install the Gapps zip after the new ROM is installed. Like above TWRP: press Install, find Gapps zip, confirm the process; CWM: select ‘choose zip from sdcard’ once again, find the Gapps file and confirm the process.

When both files are installed, come back to the main recovery screen and reboot your tablet (TWRP: press Reboot, then System/

CWM: select ‘reboot system now’)

Congratulations, you now have the CyanogenMods CM 11 on your Nexus 7 2013. You can now use the Nexus 7 2013 to install your choicest Apps, launchers, themes and other goodies.
