How to Enter into Download Mode on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge!

So you want to enter into Download Mode on the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge? Entering into Download Mode is actually pretty simple, but some of you may feel like a step by step guide (like this one) would help you get the job done without screwing up your phone!

What's the point of entering into Download Mode?
The main reason why you would want to enter your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge into Download Mode would be to root, install custom Recovery (TWRP/CWM), or restore your phone back to stock.

Follow the simple 3 step guide below to enter your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge into Download Mode, it will literally take 60 seconds to do!

1. Completely power off your phone. Press and hold the power button on the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge and select "Power off".

2. Now press and hold the volume down, home center button, and power button at the same time. You should now see a blue screen with "Warning".

3. Press the volume up on your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. Now you will see "Downloading...".

That's it, you have successfully entered into Download Mode (also known as "Odin Mode") on the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge! If you ran into any issues please read the Troubleshoot section (below) FIRST!!

Troubleshoot:
If you weren't able to enter into Download Mode try these suggestions:

Make sure your phone was fully powered off before you continued to step 2.
Make sure your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge was unplugged (don't connect the microUSB cable to your phone).

How to Enter into Download Mode on LG G3!

A tutorial on how to enter into Download Mode on the LG G3, this quick guide will work with all LG G3 variants and is a straight forward process. The main reason you would want to enter into Download would be to restore your phone to stock settings using LG G3 stock firmware.

Follow the guide below to enter into Download Mode on the LG G3.
1. Power off your phone by pressing the power button and selecting "Power off" and then choosing "OK".

2. Press and hold the volume up on your LG G3.

3. While still holding the volume up, plug in a microUSB cable into your phone.
Make sure the USB side is already plugged into the computer before starting step 3.

4. You should start to see "Download Mode" for a few seconds and then it will show "Firmware Update". You are now in Download Mode!
