How to Enable Immersive Mode on any Android App! [Root]

With devices like the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Moto X, and others that have software keys it's great since you can modify them to your advantage, but sometimes they just get in the way. They take up screen real-estate when you need it all. There are many times when I wish both the status bar and the software keys would just disappear, luckily for us Google has created a nice way to do that with certain apps. 

However not all apps are enabled to give you immersive mode (fullscreen). Luckily for us we can now enable "Immersive Mode" on any Android application, even the launcher if you want. While with MOD works with just about every rooted Android device it doesn't make much sense using it on an Android device like the Galaxy S5.

The Galaxy S5 doesn't have software keys and only has a small status bar that may get in the way from time to time. Devices that include software keys is where this MOD will make a true difference. 

Follow the guide below on how to enable Immersive Mode on any Android app using your rooted Android device.

1. Go into Settings > Security > and check mark Unknown sources.

2. Download Xposed Framework and ForceImmersiveMode_2.1.1.apk directly to your phone using the download links below.

3. Using a file manager app locate the Xposed Framework APK, tap on it, and install it. It will be located in your "Download" folder by default. 

4. Open up Xposed Installer and tap on Framework > Install/Update > and grant Superuser Request when asked. Then tap on Ok to reboot your phone.

5. Open up the file manager app again and locate ForceImmersiveMode_2.1.1.apk. Tap on it and install. 

6. Now go back to the Xposed Installer app and tap on Modules. Check mark Force Immersive Mode. 

7. Go into the Force Immersive Mode app and select which apps you want to be enabled for Immersive Mode, tap on Save, and reboot. 

Once rebooted the selected apps will automatically have Immersive Mode enabled when you launch each app. Enjoy using the entire screen of your phone!

Well it's been a while since I did a icon pack review so let's start it back up with Minimalism icon pack for Android! This icon pack is a simple look that are squared shaped. Minimalism icon pack supports all the popular launchers including ADW, Apex, Action, Aviate, Go, Holo, Nova, and Smart. 

There are currently over 600 HD icons available and for the icons that aren't supported they don't look out of place since they still have that square look. You can also request icons to be supported using the included Minimalism app. 

The app also includes 14 HD wallpapers that you can apply to your launcher, allows you to preview all the supported icons, contact the developer, and give the developer feedback on how his icons are doing. Overall there are a solid amount of icons supported that all look clean and simple.

Cyanogen Theme Showcase App for Android!

If you didn't already hear CyanogenMod recently released a new app called, Cyanogen Theme Showcase app for Android. The name of the app says it all, it's a theme app for CyanogenMod ROMS that will work if your on CM M7 or above. 

It is a clean app that allows you to apply themes (hopefully more in the future) and gives you the option if you would like to only apply a select few like the boot animation, lockscreen wallpaper, homescreen wallpaper, system UI, sounds, etc. Some themes support all these options, while others only support a few. 

Overall this app is very easy to use and even easier to apply certain parts of the themes. Unfortunately majority of the current available themes are paid, but there a couple that are free that help get the job done.

Get Galaxy S5 One Hand Operation On Any Android Device!

One of the new feature that is included in the Galaxy S5 is the One Handed Operation, that makes the Galaxy S5 screen smaller so that you can reach the entire screen while only using one hand. Each year phone screens keep getting bigger and this feature is a great solution for the times when you just don't have both of your hands available. 

Now you can get this feature on any Android device using an Xposed MOD called One-Handed Mode. This MOD essentially does the same thing, but also allows you to choose how big or small you want the screen to be. 

This MOD allows you choose the top, bottom, left, and right margins to get it to fit just perfectly when you're operating your phone with just one hand. After punching in the margin numbers you just tap on "Apply" and you're good to go! You can now reach all corners of the screen with just one hand! 


How to install One-Handed Mode on any Android device: 
Requirements: 

• Your Android device must be rooted
• Have Xposed Installer app installed

1. Download OneHandedMode_1.9.apk directly to your Android device using the link below.

2. Open up a file manager app and locate/select OneHandedMode_1.9.apk.

3. Once installed open up Xposed Installer app and enable One-Handed Mode. 

4. Reboot and you're good to go! You can now use your phone with just one hand with ease!

A clean and sleek launcher for your Android device, SickSky launcher is a simple launcher that still makes your phone functional, while still making it look very sleek! 

SickSky launcher's homescreen is your set wallpaper, time, date, and weather. This keeps you informed, but still shows that very nice look on your Android device. If you swipe over to the left you will enter into the "weather" interface where you can see general or detailed forecasts of each day. Unfortunately I couldn't find an option to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. 

Swipe over to the right from the homescreen and you can see all events from your Google calendar. Also the right bottom box will launch your app drawer, while the left side is where it gives you all the launcher's features/options.

Double Tap to Sleep for Android! - Xposed MOD

With some new released devices that are entering the market like the HTC One M8 they have one hardware issue that I don't like, the power button location. This location of the power button doesn't make any sense, your fingers are never at the top of the device. Why would you place a button there? Especially since devices keep getting bigger and bigger you need to keep that power button at a logical place on the phone. 

With the DoubleTapToSleep Xposed MOD all you have to do is double tap the status bar to put the device to sleep. This is so much more convenient than reaching all the way to the top of the device to turn off your phone. It just makes so much more sense with phones having the power button at the top.

DoubleTapToSleep Xposed MOD works every time and I have never had it happen where I was trying to get to my notifications, but accidentally turned off my device. This is a great MOD for anyone who would rather turn off their device by reaching over to the status bar area than the location of the power button.

500 Firepaper app is a great app for anyone, like me, who gets tired of the same old wallpaper each day. I would love to have a new fresh wallpaper each time I wake up that I like. Switchr for Android! - App Switching Revolutionized

Switchr for Android makes changing between your recent apps much more easy. Some people find it hard to reach down to the bottom of their screen to tap on recent button or you're like me and too lazy to move your finger all the way down there. 

Luckily for us, we can use the side of the screen to change between open recent apps. You have three styles to launch Switchr. Slide, I prefer this one, Flow, and Arc. Each do the same thing in the end, but just look different when you're choosing the recent app. 

To active Switchr all you do is slide your finger from the side of your screen (left or right) and it will launch. Depending where you usually have your finger you can change the location, width, and length of the trigger.

Click UI also brings 10 HD wallpapers that you can apply to your Android device. The wallpaper that was shown in the beginning of the video does not come included, but will be linked down below. With the wallpapers included my favorite one was the purple one that was orange in the middle.

This icon pack comes with a square look, closely resembles the original icons, and aren't all the same color so you get to experience some really deep and rich colors and contrasts on the icons! This icon pack also comes with the Viper app. 

The app shows you all the launchers that this icon pack supports, a section where you can request your own icons, and a couple of other usually options. If your into changing the look of your icons on your Android device make sure you take a look at Viper icon pack!

Android Data Recovery - Wondershare Dr.Fone - Recover Photos, Videos, Documents!

Using Wondershare's Dr.Fone data recovery software you can easily recover data that has been deleted from your phone. Dr.Fone allows your to recover photos, videos, songs, and documents without any root. If you are rooted then you can also recover text messages and contacts too! If you are rooted make sure your phone is on a stock ROM or you may run into scanning issues!

Simply plug in your phone to your computer and run the Dr.Fone program to allow it to scan your entire device to recover any files you may have lost or deleted from your phone. My Nexus 4 16GB took about 2 hours to complete the scan, which is reasonable if you really need to recover that information.

CyanogenMod ScreenCast Screen Recorder Review & How to Install!

CyanogenMod's ScreenCast screen recorder allows you to easily record your screen, sounds from your phone, and your microphone all at the same time. This feature is especially useful for YouTubers who would rather record a video directly from their Android screen and not from a camera. 

ScreenCast app is great when it works because of how smooth the video playback is, even if your swiping across the screen quickly!

However, there are a few issues that I ran into while using the feature. After using ScreenCast I played back the video, but I noticed that the microphones were so sensitive that it picked up the sound of the finger across the screen. 

The CyanogenMod team did a great job of making ScreenCast possible, but there are still a few bugs to be fixed until it's a great app! 

Note: 
- You MUST be running on a CyanogenMod 11 ROM.
- Some phones like the Galaxy S4 can install the APK, but playback of the recording doesn't work.

How to Install: 

1. Go into Settings > Security > and check mark "Unknown sources".

2. Download CyanogenMod ScreenCast screen recorder APK to your phone using the link below.

3. Open up the File Manager app on your phone, locate the APK, then tap and install it.

4. You will now have a new app called "Screencast" in your app drawer.

How to Install Nexus 5 Android 4.4 KitKat Launcher On Any Android Device!

With the release of the Nexus 5 came a brand new launcher called Google Experience Launcher. Unfortunately, this launcher is exclusively available on Nexus 5 officially, but you can still get this launcher very easily. 

Using this installation method all the features will work, like the Google Now page that is located on the left side of the homescreen, the always listening microphone with the command "Okay Google" to launch Google Now, and even the Nexus 5 wallpapers are included. 

Note: Your Android device needs to be running on Jelly Bean 4.1 or above for this to work!

How to install Nexus 5 Android 4.4 Kit Kat Launcher on any Android Device: 

1. Open up Settings then go down to Security and check mark "Unknown sources". 

2. Download GoogleHome.apk and com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox318.apk using the links below onto your phone.

3. Locate both the apk files you just downloaded. If you downloaded the files directly to your phone they are located in your downloads folder, you can use a file manager to locate the apk files. 

4. Select GoogleHome.apk and install it. Once completed press "Done" not "Open". 

5. Select com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox318.apk and install it. Once completed press "Done" not "Open". 

6. Press the home button and select the new Google Experience Launcher for your Android device!

Clean Master Review for Android! [Root] All-in-One Android Cleaner

Clean Master app for Android is a similar app that you may have heard called Ccleaner for desktops. This app essentially does the same thing just on a mobile Android device instead. Lanuching the app your presented with the amount of space you have on your internal and external SD card on your Android device. 

Once you go deeper in the app you can go ahead and free up space like cache, privacy information, and just junk files that you may have forgotten about. Just one thing to note it that this app requires you to be rooted to fully use all the features the app offers!

On top of just deleting useless data you can also easily uninstall apps with a single tap to save you a lot of time instead of constantly going to the Play Store to uninstall the apps you never use. Once you have used all these methods you can go to the main section of the app and see how much more space you now have!
