Purity ROM Android 4.3 for Nexus 4!

This week we're taking a look at Purity ROM for the Nexus 4. Purity ROM has been available on other devices like the Galaxy Nexus for more than a year, but now it's available on the Nexus 4 running on the latest Android version 4.3. 

Purity ROM is known for more of its customization options than anything, but one "out of the box" visual feature I saw was that the app drawer is a 5x5 instead of your usual 4x5 look. If you dive in Purity ROM settings you get some goodies to go ahead a play with. 

With this ROM you got options to change the style and location of your battery, clock location, status bar brightness control, slider shortcuts, and more features worth checking out. This ROM isn't overly packed with features, but doesn't lack too many either!

BeanStalk ROM for Nexus 4! Aroma Installer, Transitions, Features & More!

BeanStalk ROM for the Nexus 4 is the very first ROM I have ever seen that comes with Aroma Installer. Using Aroma Installer you have a solid amount of customization options during the installation process of BeanStalk ROM. Options like themes, transitions, kernel, etc! 

BeanStalk ROM is packed with goodies for you to explore like pop up quick settings, app sidebar, custom tiles, and so much more! A couple of my favorite features were the page transitions you get and the option to make your own quick setting tile from any app! 

This ROM also offers 2 cameras, your stock AOSP camera and Focal camera. The AOSP camera works fine, but Focal may be a bit laggy at times. Overall this is a solid ROM worth checking out!

GoldenEye ROM for Galaxy S4! [App2SD] GT-i9505/T-Mobile/AT&T/Canadian

Back a couple of months ago we took a look at GoldenEye ROM that was only available for the AT&T Galaxy S4, but now it's available for the GT-i9505, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Canadian variants. This ROM is very simple, but still brings some features to the table! 

GoldenEye ROM is based off Touchwiz that comes deblaoted removing all the carrier and most of the Samsung's junk leaving you with a clean and light ROM! You also get some neat features like the Android keyboard, WiFi tether (depending on what carrier your using this on), and App2SD! 

The App2SD is the main and probably the best feature in this ROM, this allows you to move app data from your internal memeory to your external SD card, giving you more internal space!

Cataclysm ROM Review for Nexus 4! - Android 4.3

Many ROMS have the same features and sometimes don't offer anything unique to the table, but Cataclysm ROM for the Nexus 4 offers some nice features that I really haven't seen in any other ROMS that I have tried on my Nexus 4! 

Cataclysm ROM offers your usual quick toggles options and slider shortcuts, but where it gets interesting is with the cool features like InCall Blocker, allowing you to block those annoying telemarketers and a white list mode. Smart3G giving your options to change to 2G when you have low battery, turned off your screen, or at a certain battery percentage. 

This ROM also offers some other neat features like Fall Call (spoofing), keyboard layout, and you can even backup your current Cataclysm settings, and restore then later! This ROM offers some pretty awesome features that not many other ROM have!

With the recent update of the YouTube application alot of people enjoy how you could browse the rest of the app while you can still watch the video, but this new feature had some massive limitations! You couldn't resize the app, move it around, or even go to another app and keep playing the video!

Well, with YouTube Floating HD Player (Showtime) all those limitation are gone! This application acts as both a 3rd party YouTube app and allows you to "float" your video anywhere your want, resize the video, and put the video on top of any other app, pretty neat!

YouTube Floating HD Player is available in both a free and paid version, the paid version allows you to remove the ads that show up at the bottom of the application.

With the initial installation you will be entered into Aroma Installer to give you options like which kernel you want with the ROM and choose which apps to include.

This ROM is also themed up from the settings, calculator, clock, and also the notification toggles. BobCat ROM changes the usual look of settings, toggles, etc and changes them with completely different icons. 

BobCat ROM also offers "BobCatROM Extra", offering features like custom color notification light for certain apps, faster fix GPS to fix all your GPS signal woes, Greenify to save you battery life, and other options!

Mashable app for your Android device is an app that is a news feed source. This app offers all types of categories like technology, business, world, and many others. 

The cool thing about this app is that you can be notified you when there is going to be a viral story. This is great as a lot of viral stories are interesting and ground breaking, so you can be the first of your friends to starting talking about the daily buzz! 

This app is super easy to use and also free! Mashable app is clean and delivers you the news without any distractions getting in the way. Only one downside to this app is currently when you play an in-app video it will lagg. This seems to be a problem happening with multiple people and hopefully be fixed shortly!

Illusion ROM for Galaxy Nexus! Key Lime Pie - GSM/Verizon/Sprint

Illusion ROM for the Galaxy Nexus GSM, Verizon, and Sprint variants is a great ROM because this ROM is completely different from the rest of the other ROMS. This ROM changes the looks and how it transitions compared to other ROMS. 

With Illusion ROM you get a sweet looking Key Lime Pie theme, this of course isn't the "official" look, but still is refreshing and is an eye catcher. Just simply go into Settings and then themes. In that section just select Key Lime Pie and your good to go! 

On that of that you get some cool transition between applications and how they disappear. Illusion ROM also includes neat features like Halo, Pie Control, and your other usual tweaks to make your phone even more cooler!
