A quick guide on how to enter into Recovery Mode for the LG G3. Entering into Recovery Mode will allow you to do a factory reset and if you have ClockworkMod or TWRP Recovery installed on your phone you can do so much more! You can make a Nandroid Backup, install custom ROMS, and enjoy your LG G3 to its true full potential! 

Follow the guide below to enter into Recovery Mode on the LG G3. 

1. Power off your phone by pressing the power button and selecting "Power off" and then choosing "OK".

2. Press and hold the power button and volume down button at the same time. 

3. Keeping holding, when you see the LG boot up screen let go of the power button and volume down button for 1 second and then press and hold the power button and volume button at the same time again. 

4. You should now see "Factory data reset", if you don't then repeat steps 1-3. 

5. If your on a custom recovery like ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP recovery select "Yes" and then "Yes" again and that will enter you into CWM or TWRP recovery. It will NOT do a factory reset. 

If you are on stock recovery, you don't have CWM or TWRP recovery installed then it will do a factory reset!

A tutorial on how to enter into Download Mode on the LG G3, this quick guide will work with all LG G3 variants and is a straight forward process. The main reason you would want to enter into Download would be to restore your phone to stock settings using LG G3 stock firmware. 

Follow the guide below to enter into Download Mode on the LG G3.
 1.  Power off your phone by pressing the power button and selecting "Power off" and then choosing "OK".

2. Press and hold the volume up on your LG G3. 

3. While still holding the volume up, plug in a microUSB cable into your phone. 
Make sure the USB side is already plugged into the computer before starting step 3. 

4. You should start to see "Download Mode" for a few seconds and then it will show "Firmware Update". You are now in Download Mode!

BitTorrent introduces new 'Bleep' decentralized online Instant Messenger for secure peer to peer communication

BitTorrent the most popular torrent client and the company that develops the  peer-to-peer protocol and two popular clients that use it, has announced the release of Bleep, an online communication (voice and text) application that lets users "make a direct, decentralized connection to someone they trust." 

Announcing the release of Bleep, Jaehee Lee, a senior product manager at BitTorrent, says that Bleep can freely be used by journalists that want to keep their sources anonymous, diplomats looking to keep their reports private, and businesses that need to keep their communications safe from industrial spies.

What makes Bleep different is that unlike traditional messaging services, where a chat app establishes a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) connection with a central server app, Bleep does the same with a distributed server app.

This means that there is no central central repository of metadata (storage of your conversations) as the decentralization disables any storing.   This also means that whatever you chat is just read and go. Another plus point for Bleep is that the person who wants to talk with someone must go search for them through nodes and this search is also not tracked from the server side.

"All links are encrypted .We are using secure encryption protocols such as curve25519, ed25519, salsa20, poly1305, and others. Links between nodes are encrypted. All communication is end to end encrypted," Fadaie says.

Bleep got its name from the fact that the company does not see the metadata or the contents of the exchanged messages. "As far as we’re concerned, anything you say is 'bleep' to us," noted Lee.

Bleep has been released in pre-alpha and is currently available only for Windows 7 and 8. Those who wish to test the app can sign-up here, but should be aware that there are surely glitches and bugs that have to be ironed out, or maybe you could be a bug tester yourself.

How to Unroot/Unbrick LG G3! [Complete Stock]

A tutorial on how to completely unroot the LG G3. This will remove any sign of root including custom ROMS, recovery, or any other type of modding. This will also fix your LG G3 if you soft bricked your phone! 

Sometimes you just need to unroot your phone because you might not have the needs for root features, need to send back your phone to your carrier/manufacture, or for any other reason this unroot guide will get the job done!

This will work with all LG G3 variants including:

• AT&T D850 LG G3
• T-Mobile D851 LG G3
• Sprint LS990 LG G3
• Verizon VS985 LG G3
• Korean F400L LG G3
• Korean F400S LG G3
• Korean F400K LG G3
• Open D855 LG G3

This will delete everything off your phone, backup any important information!!

Follow the guide below to unroot the LG G3!

1. Power off your phone. Press and hold the power button and select "Power off" and then "OK" on the LG G3.

2. Press and hold the volume up. Keep holding and plug in a microUSB to your phone. You should now see "Firmware Update", if you don't re-do step 2. 

Note: Make sure the USB side is already plugged into the computer before performing step 2!

3. Open up Device Manager on your computer. 

4. Find "Ports (COM & LPT)", click on the tab on the left to expand it. You should see "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM)".

If you can't find step 4 in Device Manger download and install LG USB driver using the link below first and then look again.

Download LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3.exe

5. Double click on "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM)" > Port Settings > Advanced > next to "COM Port Number:" choose "COM41". 

6. Click on "OK" and then "OK" again. 

7. Download "Setup_LGFlashTool.zip" using the download link below. 

Download Setup_LGFlashTool.zip

8. Unzip "Setup_LGFlashTool.zip" and install Setup_LGFlashTool_1.8.6.527.exe.

Note: At the last installation step when it asks you to "Run LGFlashTool 1.8.6.527" uncheck it. Then click "Finish".

9. In the "Setup_LGFlashTool" folder there is a file called "MegaLock.dll". Copy this file and replace it in C:\LG\LGFlashTool

Note: The "C:" is your main Windows hard drive.

10. Download the LG G3 stock firmware for your specific LG G3 model using the link below. Make sure you download both the .dll and zip file.

11. Unzip the stock file and you will see .TOT in the unzipped folder. You now have a .TOT and a .dll file for your LG G3. 

12. Open LGFashTool, this icon should now be on your desktop. If it isn't look in C:\LG\LGFlashTool.

13. Click on "Select Manual Mode". 

14. Click on "..." and choose the .dll that you downloaded in step 10. 

15. Click on "Add" and choose the .TOT stock firmware that we downloaded in step 10 and that we unzipped in step 11. 

16. Now click on "OK".

17. Click on the yellow arrow located at the top left of the program and wait until the middle gray box disappears.

18. You should now see only 1 yellow box that says "READY!!". All the other ports should say "DISABLE". 

19. Quickly unplug your phone and plug it back in. We do this so that LG FlashTool starts the unrooting process. 

You should now see "Waiting for Connection."

20. After 4-5 minutes LG FlashTool will say "PASS!!" and your phone with have a blue screen with "Factory Reset Status 3". 

21. You can now unplug your phone, take out the battery, put it back in, and power on your phone.

Congrats, your phone is now fully unrooted and on complete stock. It is now just like when you first bought the phone, even safe enough to send to your carrier! 

FAQ:

Q: After LG FlashTool said "PASSED" I got stuck on a bootloop. 
A: Wait at least 10 minutes since you just installed a fresh OS it could take some time. After 10 minutes and if your still stuck on a bootloop enter into recovery mode and select "Yes" and "Yes" again. This will do a factory reset and fix the bootloop.

Q: LG FlashTool keeps failing, what am I doing wrong?
A: Make sure your using the included LG USB cable!! Also change USB ports and try this guide on a different computer. 

Q: After this process can I now send this back to my carrier/manufacture?
A: Yes, you are now on complete stock. Root, custom recovery, custom ROM, or any other sign of modding is gone!

Q: Is there a way to unroot the LG G3 on Mac?
A: No there isn't a way to unroot the LG G3 on Mac at this time.

Train moves out of track, After a bull hits the Engine, 4 sleeper coaches derailed

Lucknow (India):  Lal Kuan Express, moved out of its track after a bull hit its engine.

The Incident happened Monday night when a fighting bull and cow made their way to the tracks of the Lal Kuan Express and hit the Engine of the moving train near the Daliganj railway station.  The impact of the bull hitting the Engine was so huge that the Engine got derails.

Officials confirmed the incident and said that the train was at the outer signal of the station and hence was not at high speed. however the effect of the collision moved four general sleeper coaches of the train out of the tracks. "no passengers were injured", he added.

Passengers were taken out of the train and moved to the station, it took hours of work to bring back the derailed coaches back to the track and restore the traffic on the track. 

This happens only in India...

Apple makes its new OS X Yosemite available for free download to first 1 million Mac owners

Apple today released the latest version of its OS X “Yosemite” computer software in beta form.   This is the new tenth version of OS X which will eventually replace “Mavericks.” The beta release is available for download for free on first come first served basis for first 1 million download.  Yosemite is a continuation of Apple’s redesign process of its software across computers and portable devices. 

This is the first time Apple is making the pre-release version available to the public. Earlier, it made the beta versions of both its iOS smartphone and tablet software and its OS X computer software have only been available only to developers for testing ahead of their general releases to the public.

To install the free software users will have to sign up using Apple’s site, as well as have a Mac computer with OS X Mavericks 10.9 installed with at least 2GB of memory and 8GB of free disk space.

Apple has also recommended that those users who want to test the new software do so on a second computer because it could be unstable and cause errors due to its beta form.  Users who do install the beta software will be able to upgrade to the final version of Yosemite on its release in the Autumn.

Apple has made big changes in Yosemite version.  It will bring a total new GUI to users making it much closer to the iOS version on the smart phones. Apple has also added features that tie the two devices together ie the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch and the Mac.  This feature is known as “Continuity” and will  allows users to send files back and forth between the two.

Another feature Yosemite brings is that users of Apple’s iPhone will also be able to place and answer calls on their desktop computers.

The LG G3 is out and that means one thing, time to get that phone rooted! This guide will show you a step-by-step guide, both written (below) and in a video format (above) on how to root the LG G3 for Windows, Mac, and Linux/Ubuntu. 

The overall process is simple and only takes a few hits of the enter key to get your LG G3 rooted literally within minutes. Be sure to check the list below and to confirm that your LG G3 is able to be rooted!

This root guide is compatible with: 

• AT&T D850 (10D) LG G3
• T-Mobile D851 (10C) LG G3
• Korean F400L (10A/B) LG G3
• Korean F400S (10A/B) LG G3
• Korean F400K (10A/B) LG G3
• Open D855 (10E/F/G) LG G3

If you don't know your model number or firmware version go into Settings > General > About phone > Software information. Look at the last 3 characters of Build number to see if your phone is compatible.

This root guide will NOT wipe your phone, but backup your phone just in case!!

Now let's get the LG G3 rooted!

Follow the guide below to root the LG G3 on Windows, Mac, Linux/Ubuntu.

1. Go into Settings > General > About phone >Software information > tap on "Build number" for about 8 times until it says "You are now a developer". 

2. Go back into Settings > General > Developer options and check mark USB debugging. 

3. Plug in your LG G3 to your computer via microUSB. 

4. Pull down your notification shade > tap on "Media device (MTP) > and select "Send images (PTP)".

5. Download PurpleDrake-Lite.zip using the download link below.

Skip step 6 if you're on Mac/Linux/Ubuntu

6. Open Device Manager by using the start search. You should see "ADB Interface". Click on the small triangle tab and you should see "AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB Interface". 

If you don't see that exact text then download and install LG G3 drivers using the link below.

7. Unzip PurpleDrake-Lite.zip

8. Open up PurpleDrake-Lite folder and follow the text below depending on what computer OS you have. 

Windows: 

Double click on "purpledrake_windows.bat" 

Mac: 

Double click on "purpledrake_osx.command"

Linux/Ubuntu:

Right click on "purpledrake_linux.sh" > Properties > Permissions > check mark "Allow executing file as program". Now double click on "purpledrake_linux.sh" and choose "Run in Terminal". 

9. Press enter then look at your LG G3 screen. "Allow USB debugging?" will pop up, select "OK". If this happens more than once keep tapping on "OK".

Tip:  If you get stuck with "Waiting for device..." for more than 5 minutes close the program and relaunch it. 

10. It will now show you your phone info, press enter to continue. 

11. It will show "Press [enter] to continue..." again. Press enter. 

12. One last time, it will show "Press [enter] to continue..." press enter. Your phone will now reboot. 

13. Head to the Play Store and install the SuperSU app. Your LG G3 is now officially rooted! 

You can check that you are rooted by installing a root app like Titanium Backup and see if you get SuperSU/Superuser request. If you do then you are confirmed rooted!
